FFGA Partners with Spring ISD to Support Student Development
FFGA has partnered with Spring Independent School District (ISD) to nurture and support the development of their students.
“We believe it’s important to invest in our community and help provide resources that positively impact the learning experience of our youth,” said Dawson Schnautz, President and CEO of FFGA Corporation.
As a platinum sponsor of the Spring ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Board Scholarship, FFGA colleagues volunteer as judges for the end of year CTE Capstone Projects. The company also provides four internships during the winter/spring semester to CTE students from Dekaney High School, Spring High School and Wunsche High School.
“Our interns are intelligent, motivated, hardworking and display excellent communication skills,” said Schnautz. “This is a direct result of the hard work, dedication and mentoring of the parents, volunteers, faculty and staff of Spring ISD.”
The CTE Advisory Board Scholarship plays a vital role in the development of students providing them with opportunities to declare a career pathway in high school and then giving them educational opportunities related to that pathway, including post-secondary education in concurrence with the students’ high school classes.
“In some cases, students are able to obtain both their high school diploma and an associate’s degree upon graduation, which gives them an advantage when preparing for their future,” said Schnautz.
The program also partners with businesses to provide scholarships, internship opportunities, and even provides faculty with grants and awards to either buy specialty equipment or offer unique educational experiences for students.
On April 17, 2025, FFGA was recognized as Spring ISD’s 2025 Outstanding Business Partner due to its extensive volunteer work within the district. Additionally, on May 1, 2025, FFGA had the honor of attending the Spring ISD CTE Advisory Board Scholarship Reception to present Amanda Gonzalez, a senior at Wunsche High School and FFGA intern, with a scholarship sponsored by the company.
FFGA appreciates the opportunity to assist in the development of Spring ISD students.
